“Baxter Neumann facilitated the Williams Lea Leadership Team Strategy Conference in 2006. The agenda included: setting and agreeing the business direction, clarifying our strategy, organisation design issues and key action plans.  The preparatory work was critical to the successful outcome and involved Gerry working with the business to agree the objectives and desired outputs, undertaking stakeholder interviews with the CEO, Board & Executive team members and taking time to understand our business priorities. Gerry was very effective in engaging everyone in the process and keeping the senior team focused and on track during the 2 day Workshop. Baxter Neumann work with clients in the UK and Overseas to design and facilitate Workshops and Leadership Conferences, the purpose of which could be:

  • Clarification of a strategy or discussion of a major Change initiative
  • Leadership team building events or business updates
  • Seeking a consensus on a way forward and developing the action plan for delivery
The participating group could be the Board or Executive team, a business function (Marketing, HR, IT) or, at a large scale event, a cross section of the entire organisation.  Our involvement starts before the event in terms of stakeholder engagement and advising on  format and content.  Our role is to help the client achieve their stated objectives for the event and produce the desired outputs by balancing the need to:
  • Engage all participants in the process
  • Focus on the agenda and provide some structure
  • Challenge perceived wisdom and positioning of new ideas
  • Injecting some humour and fun into the proceedings
All of our facilitation projects are measured against client satisfaction feedback and achievement of pre-agreed objectives.

Conference Facilitation

We work with clients from the initial planning stage through to Conference delivery.  Experience has shown that a successful conference is based on a correctly positioned agenda, managing delegate expectations, skilful facilitation and a degree of entertainment. 

Our approach is founded upon: researching stakeholder expectations, sensitivity to the client’s culture, effective collaboration with the client team, access to creative content and having good material, credible consultants with first class facilitation skills

Our team’s expertise includes:
  • Key note speech drafting and coaching speakers to optimise impact
  • Working with the in-house team or Host to generate greater ownership
  • Pre conference diagnostics (surveys, customer interview, questionnaires etc)
  • Facilitation of interactive Q&A sessions using electronic keypads or panels
  • Design and facilitation of business games and ice breakers
  • Development of video/DVD material to support Conference themes
In a Conference setting you don’t have a second chance to make a powerful impression.  The Conference opening needs to have impact and be sustained by interesting content throughout and a memorable closing session.  We will work with you to deliver precisely that.
