Baxter Neumann supports the Public Sector to eliminate waste

The reality has now hit home for the Public Sector – substantial cuts have to be made.  Baxter Neumann has been appointed to support a leading council to create a shared service and reduce ‘back office’ costs by 30%. Working in partnership with the Council and a strategic technology partner, we have developed a new operating model for the back office functions, which is flexible and aligned to the delivery of front line services, as a low cost operating model.  Caroline Brown, Director of Baxter Neumann says ‘our key driver has been to maintain citizen services whilst achieving the necessary cost reductions.  The project is using our ‘Rapid Transformation’ methodology bringing together :- strategy, process, supporting technology and change management, enabling the Council to achieve benefits in the first financial year’.
